Braveaurora Small Moves - Big Change

The history of BRAVEAURORA starts in summer 2008. Sarah Kotopulos, Tamara Pottfay and Julia Weberbauer take part in an internship in an orphanage in the little village Guabuliga in the North of Ghana. The conditions in the orphanage are shocking, the children starve, cannot go to school and suffer from big sicknesses like malaria or typhus.

The three students write an e-mail to their families and friends where they talk about the situation and ask for support for the 45 children from the orphanage. The echo is faszinating and with the first donations the basic needs like food and first medical care can be secured. Because of the e-mail Christin ter Braak Forstinger put attention the this initiative. All together the four women foundet the association BRAVEAURORA - Austrian House for African Children in 2009.
